Charlize Theron Joins Christopher Nolan’s Summer 2026 Blockbuster

Christopher Nolan appears to be gathering the most star power ever assembled for one of his movies. The latest to join his upcoming 2026 film is Oscar winner and all-around badass Charlize Theron.

Theron joins a cast of heavy hitters that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, and Robert Pattinson. Variety‘s report still doesn’t have any information on what the movie is about, but it doesn’t really matter with this cast and Nolan behind the camera.

The film is expected to be another summer IMAX blockbuster in keeping with Nolan’s usual standards. Theron knows a thing or two about blockbusters, having starred in the Fast & Furious movies, Mad Max: Fury Road, Snow White and the Huntsman, Prometheus, and many more. Coming up next for her is reprising the role of Andromache in Netflix’s The Old Guard 2.

The rumors are swirling as to the plot of Nolan’s movie but all reports are that nobody has guessed correctly. What’s Nolan up to that demands this amount of A-listers? We’ll find out when the film opens July 17th 2026. Shooting begins early next year and hopefully, by then we’ll at least have a title and logline for it.
