‘Scream 7’: Isabel May To Join Horror Sequel As Sidney’s Daughter

As of right now, Scream 7 is looking like a back-to-basics chapter for the long-running horror. After stepping away for a while Neve Campbell is coming back as Sidney Prescott; Courteney Cox is returning as Gale Weathers who is somehow still alive, and then Kevin Williamson, who has written or produced every film thus far, is directing. And now with Isabel May joining the cast, we’re learning that her character will build on the franchise’s legacy.

Deadline reports Isabel May, known for her role in Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923, is in talks to play Sidney’s daughter in Scream 7. We learned in 2022’s Scream that Sidney had three children with Patrick Dempsey’s character, Mark Kincaid, and in Scream VI it’s revealed they have all gone into hiding because of Ghostface’s return.

So we can assume that Ghostface has found them and that May’s character is on the kill list. Whether the other siblings appear is unclear at this time. It’s possible that we see Sidney’s entire family and they all become targets.

Scream 7 is basically a reset film following the departures of stars Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, along with reboot directors Radio Silence. Guy Busick, who wrote the last two movies, is coming back.

Paramount Pictures will release Scream 7 in theaters on February 27th 2026.
