As seen in the footage, the series is going to follow Oz as he attempts to fill a void in Gotham’s criminal underworld. Farrell is joined in the cast by Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, James Madio, Scott Cohen, Michael Zegen, Carmen Ejogo, and Theo Rossi. The Penguin is showrun by Lauren LeFranc, and should be a bridge to the next ‘Batman‘ film.
SYNOPSIS: The HBO Original series THE PENGUIN, from Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios, debuts this September. Starring Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka “The Penguin”), the eight-episode DC Studios limited series continues filmmaker Matt Reeves’ The Batman epic crime saga that began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster “The Batman.” Developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc, the series centers on the character played by Farrell in the film.
The Penguin hits HBO on September 19th.
