‘Love Again’ Trailer: Celine Dion Helps Sam Heughan Woo Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Under normal circumstances, Love Again, a film about a woman whose texts to her dead fiance’s cell phone lead to romance with a man who enlisted the help of Celine Dion would be too ridiculous even for me to endure. But then you tell me it was written and directed by James C. Strouse and suddenly I’m all in, baby! It also doesn’t hurt that the cast is led by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Heughan, and Celine Dion in her first acting role. Nick Jonas has a cameo, too.

Strouse is the filmmaker behind The Incredible Jessica James and People Places Things, both great and worthy of your attention if you’ve never seen them. Chopra Jonas having a moment right now with her Citadel series blowing up on Prime Video, while Heughan is looking to make his mark as a romantic lead with Outlander coming to an end.

Love Again opens in theaters tomorrow, May 5th, but you can see it today in many places in DC, just as I will be this afternoon.

What if a random text message led to the love of your life? In this romantic comedy, dealing with the loss of her fiancé, Mira Ray sends a series of romantic texts to his old cell phone number…not realizing the number was reassigned to Rob Burns’ new work phone. A journalist, Rob is captivated by the honesty in the beautifully confessional texts. When he’s assigned to write a profile of megastar Celine Dion (playing herself in her first film role), he enlists her help in figuring out how to meet Mira in person…and win her heart. Starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Heughan, and Celine Dion and featuring multiple new songs from Dion, Love Again, written for the screen and directed by Jim Strouse, is only in theaters May 5, 2023.
