‘Book Club: The Next Chapter’ Trailer: Diane Keaton And Jane Fonda Go On An Italian Adventure

Studios have been hard up to learn this lesson, but it pays to appeal to an underserved audience. Focus Features has picked up on this better than most, and in 2018 they scored a $100M hit with Book Club, which featured four older women who saw their lives energized by reading Fifty Shades of Grey. Well, new year, new book, and time to turn the page with Book Club: The Next Chapter.

Reuniting Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen, Jane Fonda, and Mary Steenburgen, the Book Club sequel finds the ladies headed to Italy for some fun under the Tuscan sun.

Also returning are Craig T. Nelson, Andy Garcia, and Don Johnson, joined by newcomers Giancarlo Giannini, Hugh Quarshie, and Vincent Riotta.

Once again directed and co-written by Bill Holderman, Book Club: The Next Chapter hits theaters on May 12th.

The highly anticipated sequel follows our four best friends as they take their book club to Italy for the fun girls trip they never had. When things go off the rails and secrets are revealed, their relaxing vacation turns into a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure.
