‘Summer Camp’ Trailer: Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates, & Alfre Woodard Are Best Friends Reunited In Heartwarming Comedy

Diane Keaton pretty much has the market cornered on easygoing comedies for older female moviegoers. Following such films as Poms and Book Club, Keaton stars in and produces Summer Camp, where she looks to be having a blast alongside Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard.

Also starring Eugene Levy, Dennis Haysbert, Dennis Haysbert, Josh Peck, Nicole Richie, Betsy Sodaro, & Beverly D’ Angelo, Summer Camp centers on a trio of best friends who met at summer camp ages ago, and get a chance to reunite and restore their lifelong friendship.

And it looks like these screen legends are having a blast, playing outside, white water rafting, and of course, meeting guys. There are also a group of rival ladies to contend with, because what good is summer camp without a little competition?

The film is written and directed by Castille Landon, who has been busy directing three of the popular ‘After‘ romances.

Here’s the synopsis: Summer Camp tells the story of Nora (Keaton), Ginny (Bates), and Mary (Woodard), who have been best friends since being inseparable at summer camp. As the years have passed, they’ve seen each other less and less, so when the chance to reunite for a summer camp reunion arises, they all take it, some begrudgingly and others excitedly. Each of their lives might not be where they’d imagined, but one thing is for sure — Nora, Ginny, and Mary need each other, and summer camp reminds them why.

Summer Camp opens in theaters on May 31st.
