Keanu Reeves Breaks Out The Nunchukus In New ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ Image

It’s always exciting when Keanu Reeves suits up as the Baba Yaga, John Wick, and there will be a couple of chances to see him do it in 2023. We now have confirmation he’ll show up in the Ballerina spinoff starring Ana de Armas, a film that will take place between 2019’s John Wick: Chapter 3-Parabellum and the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4, which has just revealed a new shot of Wick in action.

The image reveals John Wick wielding a pair of nunchukus, the better to destroy the heavily-armed goon in front of him. A gun vs. nunchukus? Might seem like a mismatch for anybody other than John Wick, and if you’ve seen the trailer you know the damage he can do with them.

In this latest chapter, John Wick finds himself at war with the High Table, but before he can set out on a path to defeating them, he must contend with a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe, and forces that turn old friends into foes.

Chad Stahelski is back behind the camera, directing a script by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. Franchise regulars Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Laurence Fishburne, along with franchise newcomers, Bill Skarsgård, Shamier Anderson, and Clancy Brown are all back. They’re joined by Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, and Natalia Tena. The Reeves/Yen showdown in particular has action fans drooling with potential.

John Wick: Chapter 4 opens March 24th 2023.
