‘Moving On’ Trailer: Lily Tomlin And Jane Fonda Team Up Again For Paul Weitz’s Latest

The chemistry between screen legends Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin has been undeniable literally for decades. From 9 to 5 to Netflix series Grace and Frankie, they just click and audiences keep showing up to see them together. And they likely will again this week when they star in the football comedy, 80 for Brady. But the two aren’t done teaming up, as next month we’ll see them in the latest film from Paul Weitz, Moving On.

Another film about older people getting their shit together late in life (that seems to be a trend lately), Moving On stars Fonda and Tomlin as old friends who reunite at a wedding and decide to get revenge on their best friend’s widower.

The film co-stars Richard Roundtree and Malcolm McDowell.

Weitz, who is probably still known for American Pie and About a Boy, has found a niche directing movies about people in their golden years. He previously worked with Tomlin on 2013’s Admission, and 2017’s Grandma, both solid films.

Moving On hits theaters on March 17th.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin star as estranged friends who reunite to seek revenge on the petulant widower (Malcolm McDowell) of their recently deceased best friend. Along the way, Fonda’s character reunites with her great love (Richard Roundtree) as each woman learns to make peace with the past and each other.
