James Gunn Says ‘Peacemaker’ Season Two Arrives After ‘Waller’

When James Gunn and Peter Safran dropped the first batch of DC Studios projects on us last month, they left us with a lot to talk about. However, they didn’t reveal their full hand. That’s obvious because one project that definitely should’ve been there was left out: Peacemaker season two, with John Cena returning as the violently patriotic antihero.

Seeing as Gunn is the creator of Peacemaker, and we know he’d been working on season two already, it was a bit strange. No way he canned his own show! But Gunn has now confirmed, via Twitter, of course, that Peacemaker is coming back, it’s just that he’s busy and other stuff has taken a priority, like Superman: Legacy and the Waller series with Viola Davis as Amanda Waller…

Gunn has previously referred to Waller as a “continuation from Peacemaker”, and that the show serves as a bridge between the two seasons. So look forward to seeing Peacemaker and his co-stars in Waller, as well.
