‘The Midnight Sky’ Trailer: George Clooney Races To Save The Last Of Humanity

George Clooney’s latest directorial effort, The Midnight Sky, hits select theaters tomorrow. Reviews have been sorta middling (mine will arrive in a day or two, time permitting), and maybe that’s why Netflix has decided to drop one final trailer before the big day. Although, to be honest, it sorta confirms what one of the chief complaints of the film seem to be.

A somber, downbeat tone fills this latest trailer for The Midnight Sky, which mirrors some of the criticisms that is big on ambition and melancholy, but not much else. I guess that makes the sounds of Radiohead perfect for this, doesn’t it? It just goes perfectly with  Clooney’s lonely-man beard. Anyway, Clooney stars as a dying Arctic scientist as he races to contact a crew of returning astronauts about a global catastrophe that wiped out much of humanity.

Also starring newcomer Caoilinn Springall, Felicity Jones, David Oyelowo, Tiffany Boone with Demián Bichir and Kyle Chandler, The Midnight Sky hits select theaters tomorrow, followed by Netflix on December 23rd.
