‘Hit-Monkey’ Gets A Second Season On Hulu, But No Longer Has Marvel Branding

Good news for us Hit-Monkey fans. The hilarious, ultra-violent animated series has been confirmed for a second season on Hulu. Hooray! There’s just one caveat: it will no longer be branded as a Marvel project and will instead be part of 20th Television Animation.

The original Hit-Monkey debuted in November 2021 and was part of an entire slate of programming from the now-defunct Marvel Television. It was joined by the canceled MODOK series, along with Tigra & Dazzler and Howard the Duck which never got off the ground. Other shows such as Helstrom, Runaways, and Cloak & Dagger were all canceled at roughly the same time as Kevin Feige attained power at Marvel Studios.

Josh Gordon and Will Speck return as exec-producers, with Ally Maki, Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Munn, and Fred Tatasciore again leading the voice cast. Leslie Jones is coming aboard, as well.

So continue to enjoy Hit-Monkey, but don’t go betting on season three. Without the Marvel brand, there probably won’t be any reference to Marvel characters. The first season saw appearances by Lady Bullseye, Silver Samurai, and Fat Cobra.

Season two of Hit-Monkey is “coming soon”!
