‘A Thousand And One’ Trailer: Teyana Taylor’s Breakout Performance Leads A.V. Rockwell’s Acclaimed Sundance Drama

Winner of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize for Drama, A.V. Rockwell’s A Thousand and One was one of the most talked-about films of the festival. Even before the premiere, Focus Features had planned to ride the wave of buzz with a spring release, and with that arriving next month the first trailer has arrived.

Featuring an acclaimed performance by Teyana Taylor, A Thousand and One stars single mom Inez, who after leaving prison kidnaps her son from the foster care system and sets out to start a new life.

Also in the cast are Will Catlett, Josiah Cross, Aven Courtney, and Aaron Kingsley Adetola. Oren Moverman, best known for The Messenger and Rampart, is an exec-producer. Rockwell not only directed the film but wrote the script.

A Thousand and One opens on March 31st.
