‘The Batman Part II’ Will Hit Theaters In October 2025

There was more news to emerge out of James Gunn’s reveal of the full DC Studios slate. Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II has been confirmed, dated to hit theaters on October 3rd 2025.

No shock here. The Batman opened in March 2022 and was a huge critical and box office hit, After some initial skepticism, fans really took to Robert Pattinson’s version of Bruce Wayne, as well as the darker, crime procedural tone of the film. Not only that, but it earned three Academy Award nominations.

This is all just the beginning for Reeves’ Bat-verse. A spinoff HBO Max series, The Penguin, will see Oscar-nominee Colin Farrell reprise his role as the iconic Batman villain. More shows are to come as part of this new standalone universe.

So can we start fan casting some new villains now?
