James Gunn Shoots Down Recent ‘Wonder Woman’ Rumors, Confirms DCU Slate Length

James Gunn isn’t one to let a false rumor sit for long without responding to it. That’s one of the great things about him, actually. Last night, in a Variety piece largely about Dwayne Johnson’s failed power play at Warner Bros., it was claimed that Gunn had no plans to use Wonder Woman for the first three years of his new DCU. Of course, a fan quickly asked him if this was true, and Gunn was there to shoot the rumor down…

Gunn didn’t elaborate, though, which leaves plenty of questions. Does this mean Wonder Woman will be a major player in the DCU? Will it be Gal Gadot in the role? Is Wonder Woman 3 still on the table?

Another fan asked Gunn to respond to the claim that he and Peter Safran only have a three-year-plan in the works. Gunn managed to shoot this down while admitting to a partial line-up reveal soon, and cleverly side-stepping the complicated Ezra Miller situation…

You know damn well that Gunn knows what’s “out there” about Ezra Miller. He might not be ready to talk about it yet, but he knows. And I find it unlikely that Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, and possibly others are leaving, and yet somehow Ezra sticks around.
