For fans of M. Night Shyamalan, and trust me, there are many, the last few years have seen the thriller filmmaker at his busiest. With Glass, Apple series Servant, and Old all arriving since 2019, Shyamalan also has one of the most anticipated films of 2023 right around the corner, the ominous Knock at the Cabin, which dropped a new trailer on Christmas Day. It should be illegal to release trailers on Christmas, but that’s an argument for another day.
Based on Paul G. Tremblay’s book, The Cabin at the End of the World, the film stars Dave Bautista as one of four strangers who descend on a vacationing family and demand they make the ultimate sacrifice to avert an apocalypse.
Also in the cast are Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn and Servant star Rupert Grint. Shyamalan co-wrote the script with Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman.
This looks creepy as Hell, and Bautista is more terrifying the more normal he dresses.
Knock at the Cabin opens in theaters on February 3rd 2023.
While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.
From visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, Knock at the Cabin stars Dave Bautista (Dune, Guardians of the Galaxy franchise), Tony award and Emmy nominee Jonathan Groff (Hamilton, Mindhunter), Ben Aldridge (Pennyworth, Fleabag), BAFTA nominee Nikki Amuka-Bird (Persuasion, Old), newcomer Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn (Little Women, Landline) and Rupert Grint (Servant, Harry Potter franchise)
