‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ Leads 28th Critics Choice Awards With 14 Nominations

Who needs the Golden Globes when we’ve got the Critics Choice Awards? The Critics Choice Association, of which I am a loyal and longstanding member, has revealed the nominations for the upcoming 28th Critics Choice Awards. And it’s safe to say the group was crazy for the mindbending, multiverse-spanning film Everything Everywhere All At Once, which earned a whopping 14 nominations.

The list of nominations for Everything Everywhere All At Once includes Best Picture, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan and Best Supporting Actress nominations for Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu. Directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert also received nominations for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.

Also racking up armloads of nominations were Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans with eleven, while Damien Chazelle’s Babylon and Martin McDonagh’s black comedy The Banshees of Inisherin are tied with nine each.

However, I have to admit that the sheer number of nominees in each category does tarnish the honor somewhat.

The Critics Choice Awards will be handed out on January 15th and you can watch it on The CW! Full list of nominees below.
