‘Agatha: Coven Of Chaos’ Adds ‘SNL’ Alum And ‘Woke’ Star Sasheer Zamata

You can tell that production is nearing on Marvel’s upcoming WandaVision spinoff, Agatha: Coven of Chaos. In recent days we’ve seen numerous casting reveals, firming up the cast surrounding star Kathryn Hahn. And now you can add one more, SNL alum Sasheer Zamata.

Deadline reports that Zamata has joined Hahn, Joe Locke, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, and Aubrey Plaza in Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Shockingly, Marvel has not revealed her exact role! How dare they!?!?

Zamata was a cast member on SNL until 2017, and has since kept busy with TV shows such as Woke and Home Economics. She also voiced a character on the excellent The Mitchells vs. the Machines.

It’ll be interesting to see how they handle Agatha Harkness this time around. She was the villain in WandaVision, but they might try to position her as more of an antihero this time around. Plaza’s role is said to be villainous, too.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is expected to arrive in 2023.
