‘1923’ Teaser Trailer: Harrison Ford And Helen Mirren Lead Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff

I won’t sit here and pretend I’ve watched a single episode of Yellowstone, although I fully intend to once I’m done with Sandman. Here’s all that really matters: Taylor Sheridan has built the most popular franchise in all of television. The core series is launching its first season on The Paramount Network, along with spinoffs 1883 and its starry follow-up, 1923, which finds screen legends Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as another generation of Duttons.

Harrison Ford plays Jacob Dutton, brother to Tim McGraw’s James Dutton from 1883. Helen Mirren plays Jacob’s wife, Cara Dutton, the matriarch at the Dutton’s Yellowstone Ranch. The series will explore the great Western Expansion, Prohibition, and of course, violence comes with the territory.

Also in the cast are Sebastian Roché, James Badge Dale, Michelle Randolph, Marley Shelton, Robert Patrick, Brian Geraghty, Brian Skinner, Timothy Dalton, and Jennifer Ehle. Isabel May returns as Elsa Dutton to narrate the series.

1923 hits Paramount+ on December 18th, with another showing that day on The Paramount Network following a new episode of Yellowstone.
