‘Plane’ Trailer: Gerard Butler And Mike Colter Must Survive Worse Than A Plane Crash In New Action Flick

Gerard Butler is back with another action flick. I swear, he’s one of the few actors keeping the genre alive on the big screen. His latest, Plane, pairs him up with Luke Cage himself, Mike Colter, for a deadly game of survival and that’s after surviving an airplane crash.

Directed by Jean-François Richet (of the underrated Blood Father), Plane stars Butler as a commercial airplane pilot who is forced to land due to a severe storm. However, they land in hostile territory and must survive militants looking to take passengers hostage. Colter plays a passenger who is being extradited for homicide.

Also in the cast are Cowboy Bebop‘s Daniella Pineda, Tony Goldwyn, and Yoson An.

This looks like the kind of tense, action-packed story that Butler has really made into his own. There’s a reason why he has a number of franchises to his credit, such as the Has Fallen series, which is developing a follow-up to Angel Has Fallen, and Den of Thieves which has a sequel on the way.

Plane opens in theaters on January 27th 2023.
