Kevin Feige Responds To Ryan Gosling’s Pitch To Play Ghost Rider

Eventually, every popular actor will find their way into the MCU. It’s inevitable. Ryan Gosling, who has yet to make the leap into superhero flicks, is no different. In fact, he’s already got a pitch as for who he’d want to play, saying recently that he’d love a shot at Johnny Blaze aka Ghost Rider. So might it actually happen?

MTV asked Marvel chief Kevin Feige about Gosling wanting to play Ghost Rider, and he didn’t sound against the idea at all…

Hey man, if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider…Gosling’s unbelievable. Ryan is amazing…I’d love to find a place for him in the MCU. He’s dressed up as Ken on Venice Beach and gets more press than giant movies coming out that weekend. It’s amazing.”

Basically, Ryan Gosling is one of those actors whose mere presence can make a movie bigger than it would’ve been. That’s something a Ghost Rider movie might need if it’s going to get off the ground.

The previous two Ghost Rider movies saw Nicolas Cage under the blazing skull, and honestly I think he was pitch perfect for such an unhinged character. But the two films combined for just $360M worldwide and that’s clearly not going to cut it nowadays.
