‘Godzilla’ Monsterverse TV Series Recruits Kurt & Wyatt Russell

Legendary and Apple TV+ have recruited both Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell to join the upcoming Godzilla Monsterverse TV series. Details on their roles is being kept under wraps, as is much of the info on the untitled (possibly Godzilla and the Titans) show. It’s set in the same universe as Legendary’s popular Monsterverse franchise, most recently seen in the hit Godzilla vs. Kong.

Both Russells have a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well. Kurt Russell played Ego the Living Planet in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, while Wyatt played UsAgent in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The two have starred in projects together before, including 1998’s Soldier in which Wyatt played a younger version of his father’s character.

They join a cast that includes Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski. Chris Black and Matt Fraction co-created the series, with Black as showrunner. WandaVision‘s Matt Shakman will direct the first two episodes.
