Got a case of the Mondays? Well, Netflix is here to help with a first look at Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams in Tim Burton’s Wednesday series. If you’re like the rest of us here at PDC and a little bit obsessed with the Scream and X star, then the chance to see her as the macabre child of the Addams clan is pretty damn exciting.
The series finds Wednesday shipped off to Nevermore Academy so she can learn to control her burgeoning psychic powers. As if the morose teen mixing with a bunch of high school social cliques wasn’t going to be problematic enough? At least she has her favorite pet disembodied hand, Thing, by her side.
Also in the cast are Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman as Morticia and Gomez Addams, the O.G. Wednesday herself Christina Ricci, plus Gwendoline Christie, Thora Birch, Jamie McShane, Riki Lindhome, and Percy Hynes White.
Netflix will premiere Wednesday later this year!
