‘William Tell’ Exclusive Clip: Claes Bang Is The Legendary Archer In Nick Hamm’s Historical Action Flick

If you know the name William Tell, then you likely know the famous story of how he shot an apple off his son’s head. But there’s a lot more to Tell’s myth, like his battles against the Austrian empire, and it’s brought to life in Nick Hamm’s historical action flick, William Tell, and we’re happy to exclusively debut a new clip ahead of the film’s digital release tomorrow, April 25th. This follows its theatrical release last month.

William Tell has quite a stacked cast. The film is led by Claes Bang (The Square), Connor Swindells (Sex Education, Barbie), Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid), Ellie Bamber (Red, White & Royal Blue), Golshifteh Farahani (Extraction), Rafe Spall (The Big Short), Emily Beecham (Daphne), Jonathan Pryce (The Crown), and Academy Award-Winner Ben Kingsley (Schindler’s List). The film was written and directed by Hamm, best known for directing Driven.

In this clip, we see Tell, his trusty crossbow close at hand, put into a precarious situation as the Austrian army closes in.

Here’s the synopsis: As the nations of medieval Europe struggle for power, the ruthless Austrian Empire invades neighboring Switzerland, and a peaceful huntsman, William Tell, is thrust into the heart of their resistance.
