Reese Witherspoon And Will Ferrell To Lead Nicholas Stoller’s Wedding Comedy

Nicholas Stoller always seems to have an iron in the fire, some comedy project in the works at all times. The filmmaker behind  Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Neighbors, Billy Eichner’s Bros, and many others now has an untitled wedding comedy that will feature a pair of A-listers.

Deadline reports Stoller’s wedding comedy will star Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell. Details on the plot are under wraps, so we don’t know if they’ll be marrying one another, or perhaps playing parents to a child who is getting married?

To the best of my recollection, Witherspoon and Ferrell have only ever worked together when she hosted SNL, but I could be wrong.

It feels like a lifetime since Witherspoon has starred in a major feature, especially a comedy, as she’s been busy producing or working in television. Her last comedy film outside of Sing 2 was 2017’s Home Again.  Ferrell is, obviously, a comedy giant but even he has taken a step back of late. He’ll be seen next as a toy exec in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.
