‘Ending Things’: Amazon Picks Up Assassin Movie Starring Anthony Mackie And Priyanka Chopra Jonas

It’s been a busy year if you’re a fan of assassin movies. I definitely am, and Amazon has just landed one of the most promising to come around the pike. Amazon Studios has acquired Ending Things, which stars Anthony Mackie and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a film that is being described as similar to True Lies.

According to Deadline, the film follows “A hit-woman who wants out of the assassin business tells her “business” partner that she’s ending their personal relationship as well. But she comes to realize she doesn’t want to end that part of their bond. In order to survive the breakup – and their last job together – they must join forces for one last night out.”

The script was written by Kevin Sullivan, but at this time a director has not been named.

Perhaps Mackie will direct it himself? He’s currently set to make his directorial debut with civil rights drama Spark, about activist Claudette Colvin. He’ll also suit up for Captain America 4, taking the solo Marvel lead for the first time. Chopra is coming off her role in The Matrix Resurrections.
