‘Ahsoka’ Adds ‘Spider-Verse’ Director Peter Ramsey For At Least One Episode

Lucasfilm is enlisting some Oscar-winning help for their upcoming Ahsoka series on Disney+. According to THR, Peter Ramsey, who co-directed animated feature Oscar winner Spider-Man: Ino the Spider-Verse, will take the helm when production begins next month in Los Angeles.

At this point, Ramsey is only confirmed to direct one episode of Ahsoka, which has Rosario Dawson reprising her role as the incredibly popular ex-Jedi padewan. No other directors are known at this point, but Ramsey definitely won’t be alone. Dave Filoni, who created the Ahsoka Tano character and directed her live-action appearances in The Mandalorian, is a pretty good bet to direct an episode or two. Probably exec-producer Jon Favreau, as well.

Plot details are still under wraps but Ahsoka’s mission is clear. Find Grand Admiral Thrawn and discover the whereabouts of missing Jedi pupil Ezra Bridger, both lost at the conclusion of Star Wars Rebels.

Ahsoka‘s cast includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ivanna Sakhno, Ray Stevenson, and Hayden Christensen as Ahsoka’s former mentor, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.
