‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’ Sequel To Shoot By End Of This Year

What? You didn’t think that battle of the titans we got in Godzilla vs. Kong was the end, did you? Not when Legendary’s monster war generated nearly $500M in the middle of a global pandemic! The film was one of the few to split time in theaters and HBO Max that managed to succeed, so of course a sequel was coming. And now we have an idea when that next chapter will be kicking off.

Legendary and Screen Queensland have announced an untitled Godzilla vs. Kong sequel to shoot in Queensland, Australia by the end of the year. So, what’s this movie going to be about? What epic kaiju clash can we look forward to? Uhhhhh, we don’t know. Perhaps, Son of Kong? That seems like a pretty good place to go considering the last time we saw Kong he was hanging out in Hollow Earth.

It’s unclear if director Adam Wingard will be returning or not. Same for the principle cast, including regulars like Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler. Also, how much connection will there be with the two upcoming Monsterverse series, one an anime series on Netflix titled Skull Island, the other live-action on Apple TV+.
