Critics Choice Awards 2022: ‘The Power Of The Dog’ Wins Four Including Best Picture

It was another huge night for Jane Campion’s Power of the Dog at the 27th Annual Critics Choice Awards, of which I am a voting membe. The prestige Western led all films with four total victories including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Not that Campion’s film needed another boost heading into the Oscars, although I’ll admit it a little surprising that none of the actors came away with any trophies tonight. Instead, it was Will Smith who continues his Best Actor momentum by winning for King Richard, the same for Troy Kotsur who won Best Supporting for CODA, and Ariana DeBose who seems a sure lock afte winning Best Supporting for West Side Story. Jessica Chastain earned Best Actress for he performance in The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

The 27th Annual Critics Choice Awards aired tonight led by hosts Nicole Byer and Taye Diggs.  The full list of winners including television is below!
