‘The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window’ Trailer: Kristen Bell Slays A Silly Sub-Genre For Netflix This Month

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window. In case you couldn’t tell by the mish-mash of a title, Netflix’s dark satire is a riff on all of the “crazy shut-in woman witnesses a neighbor get murdered” projects out there which practically make fun of themselves at this point. So why should we care about what this series has to say about that sub-genre? Because it stars Kristen Bell and is exec-produced by Will Ferrell, that’s why.

Bell stars alongside Michael Ealy, Tom Riley, Mary Holland, Cameron Britton, Samsara Yett, Christina Anthony, and Benjamin Levy Aguilar. The plot is…well, the title pretty much says it all, right? Here’s the synopsis:

For heartbroken Anna (Kristen Bell), every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her. But when a handsome neighbor (Tom Riley) and his adorable daughter (Samsara Yett) move in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder… Or did she?

The series was created by Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf, who worked together on the TV Land show Nobodies.

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window hits Netflix for eight episodes on January 28th.
