New ‘Halo’ Series Trailer Reveals Master Chief In Action

As video games and big-budget Hollywood movie studios grow steadily closer, events like The Game Awards have become the place for dropping some pretty big announcements. So at last night’s show we not only got the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but also a new trailer for the upcoming Halo TV series debuting on Paramount+. The reveal comes just a day after the lastest game, Halo Infinite, was fully released onto XBox Game Pass. I know, because I’ve been playin’ that shit.

With Steven Spielberg on board as exec-producer, Halo looks as incredibly detailed and cinematic as the games themselves. Pablo Schreiber plays the unstoppable, iconic Master Chief, with Natascha McElhone as Dr. Catherine Halsey, and Jen Taylor reprising as the voice of Cortana. Also in the cast are Bokeem Woodbine, Yerin Ha, Charlotte Murphy, Shabana Azmi, Olive Gray, Danny Sapani, and Kate Kennedy.

Halo follows the Master Chief as he leads humanity of the 26th-century into battle against the alien Covenant.

There are few games that have been as influential as Halo over the last couple of decades. Various attempts to adapt it previously have fallen by the wayside, but Paramount+ has made it happen and we can expect the 9-episode series to arrive next year.
