‘Ida Red’ Trailer: Frank Grillo, Josh Hartnett, And Melissa Leo Star In A One-Last-Heist Flick

Frank Grillo is suddenly everywhere. It’s like somebody flipped a switch. With recent news of his return for The Purge 6, a new Nighthawks series, plus roles in This is the Night (which is available now), Boss Level, and Body Brokers, this has been Grillo’s year. But there’s still one more film he has on the way, crime flick Ida Red, which has just debuted an impressive new trailer.

Grillo reunites with Body Brokers director John Swab for Ida Red, joined by Oscar nominee Melissa Leo, Josh Hartnett, Sofia Hublitz, William Forsythe, Deborah Ann Woll, George Carroll, Mark Boone Junior, and Beau Knapp. Leo plays the titular Ida “Red” Walker, a crime boss who runs the family business from behind bars. Hartnett plays her son, who wants out of that life but feels obligated to pull off one last heist. Of course, nothing goes quite as planned. Do they ever?

I’m really looking forward to this one. Ida Red hits theaters and VOD on November 5th.

Crime boss Ida “Red” Walker (Oscar winner® Melissa Leo) turns to her son, Wyatt (Josh Hartnett), to pull off one last heist to get out of prison. But with the FBI closing in, Wyatt must choose between family and freedom in this high-octane thriller.
