Chris Pratt Will Suit Up As Star-Lord In ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’

The battle to see who is the best Chris of all continues! It shouldn’t come as any surprise given the conclusion to Avengers: Endgame, but the Guardians of the Galaxy will have a presence in Thor: Love & Thunder. And now we know it’ll be Chris Pratt as the team’s so-called leader who will be turning up, but he may not be the only one.

According to THR, Pratt has joined the Thor: Love & Thunder cast alongside the superior Chris, that being Chris Hemsworth, plus Christian Bale as the villain, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster aka The Mighty Thor. Pratt will shoot his part, which probably won’t be huge, after doing some additional photography on upcoming sci-fi film, The Tomorrow War. Vin Diesel has been talking about other members of the Guardians showing up, so perhaps we’ll see Groot, Rocket, and more. It only makes sense.

I think Marvel sorta wrote themselves into a corner by having Thor blast off into space with the Guardians as they search for Gamora. The announcement of Thor: Love & Thunder, the unexpected fourth film in the god of thunder’s franchise, mucks things up a little because now you have to remove him from the group so soon after joining. Plus, there’s still no confirmed start for a third Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

The good news is we’ll get to see how writer/director Taika Waititi plays the macho rivalry between Star-Lord and Thor, even if it’s just for a few minutes. That should be hella fun.

Thor: Love & Thunder opens February 11th 2022.
