John David Washington Joins David O. Russell’s Next Film With Margot Robbie & Christian Bale

It’s been a long time since David O. Russell has had to worry about attracting top talent to a project. In the case of his latest, the untitled film also has no plot details that we’re aware of. But what it does have is a cast led by Margot Robbie and Christian Bale, and now you can add Tenet star John David Washington, too.

Variety reports John David Washington has joined Russell’s upcoming film, his first since 2015’s Joy. Washington can be seen in theaters right now in Tenet, but really broke out on the big screen with Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman.

There is some bad news, however. Washington appears to be replacing Michael B. Jordan, who was announced as part of the cast earlier this year. Sad; having Jordan and Washington together would’ve been damned explosive.

Russell plans to begin filming in January.
