‘The Radleys’ Trailer: Damian Lewis And Kelly Macdonald Are Suburban Vampires In New Dark Comedy

Damian Lewis and the always-charming Kelly Macdonald are taking a bite out of the suburbs in the new dark comedy, The Radleys. No, this isn’t a film about the clan of How to Kill a Mockingbird‘s enigmatic Boo Radley, although that would be pretty cool. This is a film about a seemingly normal suburban couple who are keeping a very big secret: they are actually vampires!

Directed by Dream Horse filmmaker Euros Lyn, The Radleys centers on Peter and Helen, suburban vampires who have abstained from drinking blood and appear normal to their neighbors. But the cravings can only be kept at bay for so long, especially when the bloodlust of their teenage children is exposed. To help, Peter calls his estranged twin brother Will who is well-practiced at feeding while staying clear of the authorities.

Lewis and Macdonald are joined in the cast by Harry Baxendale, Bo Bragason, Jay Lycurgo, Siân Phillips, and Shaun Parkes. It’s double-duty for Lewis who plays both Peter and Will. Lewis previously worked with Lyn on Dream Horse, and this is his first film since that 2020 Sundance crowd-pleaser.

SYNOPSIS: Award-winning actors Kelly Macdonald (No Country For Old Men) and Damian Lewis (“Billions,” Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood) star in a dark comedy thriller about a seemingly average suburban family with a juicy secret: they are vampires. In the light of day, the Radleys might seem normal, but they can only abstain from their natural cravings for so long until the bloody truth bubbles to the surface and turns their quiet country life upside down.

The Radleys opens in theaters, digital, and On Demand on October 4th.
