Cameron Diaz took a lengthy break away from acting, but recently she’s been making one Hell of a comeback. Following last year’s action-comedy Back in Action alongside her pal Jamie Foxx, Diaz is back at Netflix with mom-com Bad Day, about a mother trying to keep a promise to her daughter during an especially awful day.
The film pairs Diaz with director Jake Szymanski, known for Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Also in the cast are Danielle Brooks, Rhenzy Feliz, John Higgins, Mark Duplass, Jessica Belkin, Ed O’Neill, Rob Corddry, Ayden Mayeri, Ben Schwartz, Retta, Emma Pearson, P.J. Byrne, Sherry Cola, Edi Patterson, and Beck Bennett.
SYNOPSIS: An action-comedy about a single mom fighting to keep one little promise to her daughter on the absolute worst day of her life.
Diaz has been making up for lost time. Earlier this year, she starred in Jonah Hill’s dark comedy Outcome, alongside Keanu Reeves. She’ll return as the voice of Princess Fiona in Shrek 5, and there are even rumors about a Charlie’s Angels reunion. I’ll be honest, it’s great to see Diaz back and doing comedy again, because I think it’s always been her strength.
Bad Day hits Netflix on December 11th.
