Surprise! Netflix has debuted the first teaser for David Fincher’s The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the long-awaited sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Well, it’s more like a spinoff, with Brad Pitt returning to the stuntman/body double role that earned him an Academy Award.
The retro trailer finds Booth mixed up in more Tinseltown insanity, this time in the late ’70s. We see Booth getting into bar fights, driving derby cars, and much more. There is also a lot of cleverly obscured vulgarity, so as not to offend the family-friendly Super Bowl audience.
While there’s no Leonardo DiCaprio this time around, the star-studded cast that makes an appearance includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Elizabeth Debicki, Carla Gugino, Scott Caan, and Anora actor Karren Karagulian.
Tarantino wrote the screenplay, but chose not to direct the film himself. Instead, the reins were passed to Fincher, making this the rare time that Tarantino isn’t directing one of his scripts.
The Adventures of Cliff Booth will hit Netflix and select theaters in 2026. I expect that a firm date will arrive soon.
