If you’re a diehard member of the FGC (Fighting Game Community) like myself and millions of others, Legendary’s Street Fighter movie has you ready to plunk down all of the coins to see it. If you’re also a pro wrestling fan and, maybe just a fan of really quirky casts, then it’s also a must-see for you. After months of some wild casting announcements, the full roster has been announced in the coolest way possible that pays homage to the classic Street Fighter II select screen from 1991.
Paramount Pictures and Legendary revealed on Instagram a unique series of images that show who will be playing which character in Street Fighter. It’s like you’re really going in and selecting Andrew Koji as Ryu or Noah Centineo as Ken. The only thing it’s missing is the classic game music. Still, this is the kind of effort that should hearten fans that the people making this movie love it just as much as they do.
The film’s crazy crew includes WWE superstars Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns as Guile and Akuma, respectively, New Japan Pro Wrestling veteran Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, 50 Cent as Balrog, Andrew Schulz as Dan, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Orville Peck as Vega, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Eric Andre as Don Sauvage, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, and Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim.
Street Fighter also has a new release date of October 16th 2026, directed by Kitao Sakurai.
