‘Love Hurts’ Trailer: Ke Huy Quan Is A Guy With A Kick-Ass Secret In New Action Flick

Who doesn’t love Ke Huy Quan? Even those who are too young to have grown up with him in The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom still love the guy for his comeback role in Everything Everywhere All At Once. And since then he’s been plenty busy with roles in Loki, American Born Chinese, and Kung Fu Panda 4. But a chance to see Quan kick ass in a movie produced by David Leitch? Yes, please. Well, that’s what we’re all getting with Love Hurts, and it looks like a blast.

Titled With Love when it was announced earlier this year, Love Hurts stars Quan as a nice, mild-mannered realtor with a secret past. But when that past comes back to haunt him, he must embrace his former life and start kicking ass and taking names.

Sounds a lot like the recent Bob Odenkirk action flick Nobody, right? That was also produced by Leitch, known for John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Bullet Train, and The Fall Guy.

Love Hurts is directed by Jonathan Eusebio who, like Leitch, is a former stunt coordinator.

Quan is joined in the cast by Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, Daniel Wu, Sean Astin (Goonies never say die!!!, Mustafa Shakir, Lio Tipton, Rhys Darby, Marshawn Lynch, and André Eriksen.

SYNOPSIS: Quan stars as Marvin Gable, a realtor working the Milwaukee suburbs, where ‘For Sale’ signs bloom. Gable receives a crimson envelope from Rose (Oscar® winner Ariana DeBose; West Side Story, Argylle), a former partner-in-crime that he had left for dead. She’s not happy. Now, Marvin is thrust back into a world of ruthless hitmen, filled with double-crosses and open houses turned into deadly warzones. With his brother Knuckles (Daniel Wu; Tomb Raider, Warcraft), a volatile crime lord, hunting him, Marvin must confront the choices that haunt him and the history he never truly buried.

Love Hurts hits theaters on February 7th 2025.
