‘I Love Boosters’: Boots Riley’s Next Film To Star Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, LaKeith Stanfield, & Demi Moore

Boots Riley’s transition from rapper to filmmaker made quite a splash with Sorry to Bother You, a film that proved he’s willing to go to some crazy places and take big risks. Hard to believe that six years have passed since then, but now Riley is back and ready for his next film, I Love Boosters, that already has one Hell of a cast.

Riley will team with NEON for I Love Boosters, which will star Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, LaKeith Stanfield, and Demi Moore. The story is“about a ring of enterprising boosters (aka shoplifters, equal opportunists), who take aim at a cutthroat fashion maven.” Further plot details are being kept a mystery for now.

It’s worth noting that I Love Boosters! is also the title of a song by Riley’s rap group, The Coup.

While he’s not been busy on the big screen, Riley kept active with his Prime Video series, I’m a Virgo. The show cemented Riley’s unique, absurdist visual and storytelling style.

The film is a reunion between Riley and Stanfield who worked together on Sorry to Bother You. Palmer most recently starred in Jordan Peele’s Nope, and has her own Sirius XM show. Ackie is a star on the rise thanks to her roles in Lady Macbeth, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, and Blink Twice. Moore is a screen legend experiencing a renaissance thanks to her performance in The Substance.

Filming on I Love Boosters begins this fall.
