Yesterday, the country’s largest genre festival, Fantastic Fest, held the world premiere screening of the first two episodes of Teacup. Peacock’s horror series from exec-producer James Wan and writer/showrunner Ian McCulloch is inspired by Robert McCammon’s book, Stinger about the people of a struggling Texas town brought together by the arrival of a mysterious spacecraft and extraterrestrial.
However, there are going to be some changes to the series adaptation. McCullock has promised to depart from the source material, which should make this a new experience for everyone.
Starring Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, Chaske Spencer, Rob Morgan, Kathy Baker, Boris McGiver, and Émilie Bierre, Teacup is set in rural Georgia who must join together to face a mysterious threat.
E.L. Katz (The Haunting of Bly Manor) directed the first two episodes.
Teacup premieres on Peacock with the first two episodes on October 10th. Check out the teaser below.
