Marvel Studios went big at D23, showing off some of the projects they unveiled at Comic-Con such as Captain America: Brave New World, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but also new looks at Agatha All Along (with a trailer you can get here), Daredevil: Born Again, and Ironheart.
So let’s start with Ironheart, the six-episode series starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, who we first met in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The genius-level teen finds herself a bit lost after those events, getting expelled from MIT, which leads to her encounter with The Hood (Anthony Ramos), a criminal mastermind who is like Marvel’s version of Tony Montana if he had magical powers. Riri wants to “build something undeniable”, and The Hood can help her do that.
All of this was glimpsed in a trailer introduced by Ryan Coogler, who is producing the series. The footage also showed Alden Ehrenreich as Joe McGillicuddy, a mysterious new character to the MCU. Jim Rash is also seen returning as the Dean of MIT.

Meanwhile, the law firm of Nelson & Murdock was back open for business as a teaser for Daredevil: Born Again was shown. Basically, Marvel has just gone all-in by bringing the Netflix team together in the MCU. With Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and, oh yeah, Jon Bernthal who returns as The Punisher, a violent trailer was shown for the 18-episode season. In it, we get a look at the White Tiger, played by an unknown actor, the return of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, and the return of Wilson Bethel as Bullseye. Margarita Levieva plays Murdock’s new-ish love interest, Heather Glenn, who actually made a semi-appearance by voicemail in the original Daredevil series.
There’s also going to be a connection to Ms. Marvel with Kamala Khan’s father, Yusuf (Mohan Kapur) requesting the legal services of Nelson & Murdock.
Also, it was confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again already has a second season in the works with production beginning soon. Marvel is not playing around, and why should they? Daredevil was the most popular Marvel show on Netflix at the time and it makes sense to use that. [Additional info via ThePlaylist]
