The comeback of Josh Hartnett has taken some odd turns, mostly because he needed a comeback at all. Once a red hot star in Hollywood, he chose to back away from the spotlight for years. It was his role in Penny Dreadful that seemed to get him buzzing again, and with a small role in Oppenheimer and a bigger one in Guy Ritchie’s Operation Fortune, Hartnett now turns to a psychotic turn in M. Night Shyamalan’s new thriller, Trap.
Hartnett is joined by Ariel Donoghue, Hayley Mills, Alison Pill, and Shyamalan’s daughter Salekya Shyamalan in the film about a father who takes his daughter to a pop star’s concert, only for it to turn into a crime scene. The film is written and directed by Shyamalan, who has put the story’s big twist right out in the open.
Here’s the synopsis: A father and his teen daughter attend a pop concert only to realize they’ve entered the center of a dark and sinister event.
