The box office got a much-needed jolt of life with Inside Out 2. Pixar’s anticipated sequel earned a huge $155M in its domestic debut, the biggest opening weekend of the year by nearly double what Dune Part Two brought in. That number is high enough to surpass the combined box office of any previous weekend this year. Wow. Furthermore, $140M was added internationally for $295M worldwide, enough to be the largest ever for an animated debut. And the icing on top are the review scores, with both critics and audiences scoring the film over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Audiences still love Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, as Bad Boys: Ride or Die fell only 41% in the second week for $33M and $112M. The film has also surpassed $200M worldwide after just two weeks. They announce a fifth one yet?
