The Ant-Man movies have never been the biggest in the MCU, no pun intended. But they have all proven quite integral to the larger story. And that looks to be the case this time as well with Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania, which will see the emergence of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, the big baddie through the end of Phase 6.
Largely containing footage shown at last summer’s Comic-Con, the first trailer for Ant-Man 3 has arrived. Paul Rudd returns as Scott Lang, who is basking in the glow of his heroic part to play in Thanos’ defeat. But when an experiment in the Quantum Zone goes haywire, he and everyone he cares about get zapped into the dangerous pocket dimension.
The film will see the return of Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne. Kathryn Newton also makes her debut as the now-teenaged Cassie Lang. Bill Murray has an undisclosed role, as well, while rumors continue that we’ll get the MCU debut of MODOK, another major villain.
Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania is again directed by Peyton Reed, and hits theaters on February 17th 2023.
