- Morbius (Review) – $39.1M
While a Marvel property being at the #1 spot is far from surprising, Morbius had every trapping of a film not making it into the top 3. Tons of delays (mostly COVID) and bad reviews abounding the vampiric anti-hero still had enough juice to pull in nearly $40M and secure a win on the weekend box office. Now the question is how bad will the 2nd week drop be?
2. The Lost City – $14.8M/$54.5M
3. The Batman – $10.8M/$349M
Dropping 47% in ticket sales and showing in 235 fewer theaters then last week wasn’t enough to pull the caped crusader out of the top 3 as Robert Pattinson’s take on the iconic hero is still managing to pull in some cash
4. Uncharted – $3.6M/$138M
5. Jujutsu Kaisen 0:The Movie – $1.9M/$29.6M
6. RRR – $1.6M/$11.1M
7. Spider-Man: No Way Home – $1.4M/$802M
Even two weeks after it’s digital streaming release everyone’s favorite web-head is pulling in seven figures. Now that is impressive!
8. Dog – $1.3M/$60.1M
9. X – $1M/10.3M
10. Everything Everywhere All at Once – $1M
