‘Peacemaker’ Actor Chukwudi Iwuji Might Play High Evolutionary In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 3’

Production has begun on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and there have been rumblings that it could feature the MCU debut of he High Evolutionary. Actually, those rumors have been going on for months with very little to back them up, and you could probably say the same about this latest one except that it has a possible actor attached to the role: Peacemaker actor Chukwudi Iwuji.

When James Gunn revealed the start of production on GOTG3, spotted in the image was Iwuji, who is playing Clemson Murn in Peacemaker. Screen Geek says his presence is because he’ll be playing the High Evolutionary, a villain known for his genetic experiments that often include human/animal hybrids. He has notably been a foe and occasional ally of Adam Warlock, who we know will be played by Will Poulter.

We’ve known for a while that Rocket will be a heavy focus of this third film, and that could potentially tie-in to the High Evolutionary, as well. Could he be the one who led to Rocket’s creation? And might we also see the introduction of Halfworld and Rocket’s soulmate, Lylla? Just speculating on that one.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opens May 5th 2023.
