Banana! The Minions are about as perfect as it gets for the holiday season. I mean, they’re basically like Santa’s elves, right? Only yellow and more prone to mischief? Well, they’re bringing the Christmas spirit to NBC and Peacock later this month with a Minions Holiday Special which I promise you is already making parents exhausted at the thought of their kids watching it on repeat through the new year.
Illumination’s half-hour special will feature four “mini-movie escapades” starring the beloved Minions, breakout stars of Despicable Me and their own blockbuster franchise of films. But this won’t be just about Gru’s little helpers, as the stars of Illumination’s Secret Life of Pets and Sing films will also make appearances. Are they quietly establishing an Illumination Cinematic Universe?

Get ready to celebrate the season with the Minions. NBC and Illumination are proud to present the first-ever Minions Holiday Special! This half-hour primetime event, starring the iconic Minions, features four mini-movie escapades and includes special guest appearances from some of Illumination’s most beloved characters from their “The Secret Life of Pets” and “Sing” franchises.
Check out the Minions Holiday Special on NBC on November 27th, 2020 from 8:30-9:00 P.M. ET/PT. The special will begin streaming on Peacock on November 28th. Minions: The Rise of Gru was recently moved to next year on July 2nd.
