Teen Wolf might’ve made being a high schooler with a furry disposition seem pretty cool, but imagine being a real kid suffering from congenital hypertrichosis. It’s a very real disease that causes people to grow extreme amounts of hair all over their face and body. As if school isn’t hard enough already, suffering from such an affliction would make it unbearable. In the upcoming film The True Adventures of Wolfboy, the best way to cope is to get away.
It and Knives Out actor Jaeden Martell stars in The True Adventures of Wolfboy as Paul, who finds it impossible to make friends due to his condition. His world begins to change on his 13th birthday when he receives a gift, a map, so he can run away and find answers about his true origin.
The cast surrounding Martell is impressive with Chris Messina, Eve Hewson, Michelle Wilson, Stephan McKinley Henderson, Sophie Giannamore, Chloë Sevigny, and John Turturro. Behind the camera is Martin Krejčí.
The True Adventures of Wolfboy opens on VOD and digital on October 30th.
