- You Can See Everything– $10.6M/$63.8M
As expected, A24’s buzzy doc You Can See Everything jumped into first place during a quiet Halloween weekend. The film about Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes expanded into 588 additional theaters and maintained the top per site average with $3,268, for $10.6M overall. After three weeks, it has $63M, enough to place it in the top 20 all-time for documentaries, just ahead of Michael Moore’s Bowling for Columbine.
2. Clayface– $10.4M/$44M
Slipping 56% and out of #1 is DC Studios’ Clayface, the body horror film based on the popular Batman villain. After two weeks, it has $44M domestic and $83M globally, which isn’t bad considering the modest $40M budget.
3. Wildwood– $7.4M/$25.8M
Laika’s critically acclaimed stop-motion epic Wildwood earned another $7.4M, falling just 39% from last week for $25M in North America, and $35M globally. Considering the $100M+ price tag, it’ll be tough for the film to earn a profit, a recurring problem for the beloved studio.
4. Wicker– $4.1M/$13.2M
5. Street Fighter– $3.2M/$53M
6. BTS World Tour ‘Arirang’ in São Paulo: Live Viewing– $2.8M
7. Resident Evil– $2.52M/$157.3M
8. Other Mommy– $2.5M/$55.6M
9. The Only Living Pickpocket in New York (review)- $1.9M/$2.1M
Leaping seventeen spots with an additional 1,284 theaters is Sony Pictures Classics’ The Only Living Pickpocket in New York. The small crime caper starring John Turturro earned $1.9M and has $2.1M overall after three weeks. It’s an excellent film and I’m happy to see people are listening to the word of mouth on this one.
10. Heart of the Beast– $1.6M/$65.1M
