‘Portrait Of God’: Sam Raimi And Jordan Peele Team Up To Haunt Chase Infiniti In New Horror

Chase Infiniti has already faced a deranged, racist Sean Penn, and battled against the patriarchy. But can she survive the combined threat of Jordan Peele and Sam Raimi? According to THR, Infiniti will star in Portrait of God, a new horror from director Dylan Clark that Peele and Raimi will produce through their respective labels.

Infiniti broke out last year with Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, which earned her BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations. She then went on to lead Hulu’s The Testaments, receiving a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for that.

Clark is the latest YouTube-to-filmmaker phenomenon, similar to Curry Barker (Obsession) and Kane Parsons (Backrooms), with others on the way. Portrait of God is based on Clark’s 7-minute horror short about a woman obsessed with a haunted painting which may hold the face of a demon. The feature script will be written by Clark and Joe Russo, a producer on Peter Farrelly’s The Greatest Beer Run Ever.

This is the second feature film in the works for Clark, who is also developing a reboot of The Blair Witch Project.

Peele will produce through his Monkeypaw company, and Raimi through Ghost House Pictures. It’s the first time these two masters of modern horror have teamed up like this.
